The job of Media Specialist is done for the purpose/s of ensuring that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information; maintaining library collection at school site by implementing age appropriate programs for students utilizing library resources; selecting appropriate items in support of classroom instruction; and instructing students in ways that stimulate interest in reading, viewing and using information and ideas.

 

Qualifications:  Appropriate certification through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

 

The Gordon County School District reserves the right to accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.

 

Salary: State base pay plus local supplement based on years of experience and degree.
